Our product range covers a wide spectrum of polymeric materials. The partnership between Toplastus and many world class polymeric raw material manufacturers assures reliability and quality to our customers.
A little about the plastics:
POLYETHYLENE
LDPE – Low Density Polyethylene (0,910-0,940 g/cm3). Soft, paraffin colored plastic, very durable even in extremely low temperatures (can be used from -40 °C up to + 75 °C). One of the most chemically resistant odorless materials used for coating, recycled extrusion, forming, plastic film manufacturing using the blown extrusion method. This type of plastic is used for plastic bags, packing film, computer components, construction materials etc.
HDPE – High Density Polyethylene (0,941-0,965 g/cm3). It is very similar to low density polyethylene, but a less flexible and a harder type of plastic. It can withstand higher temperatures (up to +95°C). One of the most universal types of plastic, used for the manufacturing of pipes, bottles, plastic buckets and their covers, bags etc.
LLDPE – Linear Low Density Polyethylene. Used in roto molding, extrusion and forming, extruded film. Manufacturing possibilities: agro film, thermo film, trash bags, waste tanks, packing buckets etc.
MDPE – Medium Density Polyetylene. Combines the properties of LDPE and HDPE.
POLYPROPYLENE
The most common plastic in household. Polypropylene is a glossy and strong type of plastic, able to to withstand temperatures from -40°C to +120°C. Its’ density is one of the smallest of all plastics – 0,9 g/cm3. It can be transparent (PP Random), but then it is less durable in low temperatures. Safe in its’ physical properties and can be used in medicine and food industry.
Types of polypropylene we offer:
Polypropylene Homo polymer – made out of propylene molecules only.
Polypropylene copolymer – made out of propylene and additives.
Polypropylene copolymer – transparent copolymer.
POLYSTYRENE
Polystyrene is a universal multifunctional plastic used in various industries. It is categorized into general purpose polystyrene (GPPS), high impact polystyrene (HIPS), Expanded polystyrene (EPS), Extruded polystyrene foam (XPS).
Polystyrene (PS) is used for producing disposable plastic cutlery and dinnerware, CD cases, smoke detector housings, license plate frames, plastic model assembly kits, and many other objects where a rigid, economical plastic is desired.
Expanded polystyrene (EPS) is a rigid and tough, closed-cell foam. It is usually white and made of pre-expanded polystyrene beads. EPS is used for many applications e.g. trays, plates, bowls and fish boxes. Other uses include molded sheets for building insulation and packing material for cushioning fragile items inside boxes.
Polystyrene foams are good thermal insulators and are therefore often used as building insulation materials, such as in insulating concrete forms and structural insulated panel building systems.
